The Dublin Bus Mapping project began as a labour of... love/hate. It was commended in the IDI Graduate Awards for Digital Design and Universal Design - a big part of this was to be accessible for those with visual impairments, such as low vision or colour blindness.
There was no form of map for the users of Dublin Bus services in Ireland, an issue for residents and visitors alike. I downloaded information for each route individually and collated them together, before refining them in to a pleasing and readable shape. I expanded this in to a full rebrand of Dublin Bus services - and before I could do anything with it, it was promptly announced that there will be a new Bus Connects service instead, and all my work is moot. Oh well, I'm proud of it!
